Webinar Series: Shorebird Conservation and Productive Systems

Some artificial and natural wetlands dedicated to food production such as shrimp, rice, salt, and livestock also provide ideal habitats for resting, feeding, and even breeding for some shorebird species throughout the continent.

In order to highlight the importance of some productive systems for shorebirds and to promote good environmental practices that can be implemented in these systems, the webinar series “Shorebird Conservation and Productive Systems” began on January, with a particular focus on shrimp farming.

Approximately every two weeks, an expert has shared their perspective on the topic. The participation of different stakeholders has been promoted.
