Thank you, Birding Community E-Bulletin!

Every month, the Birding Community E-Bulletin lands in the inboxes of more than 3,400 “active and concerned birders” – those birders both “dedicated to the joys of birding and the protection of birds and their habitats.”

Published by Wayne Petersen, Director of the Massachusetts Important Bird Area (IBA) Program, and Paul Baicich of Great Birding Projects, the Birding Community E-Bulletin covers everything from rare bird sightings and recent ornithological discoveries to bird conservation news and bird-related book recommendations. Lucky for WHSRN, the authors of the Birding Community E-Bulletin also keep their eyes open for important shorebird news, and always share stories of new WHSRN sites and other milestones within the Network, especially where there are overlaps with Important Bird Areas (IBAs).

The Birding Community E-Bulletin is a thoughtfully compiled, monthly review of important bird news, and the WHSRN Executive Office extends our gratitude to Wayne and Paul for frequently featuring WHSRN news. If you aren’t already on the list, we highly recommend signing up to receive this great resource! You can sign up to receive the monthly Birding Community E-bulletin here.
